Events

Registration Fee

The registration fee, as listed for each conference, covers all conference papers, lunches, morning and afternoon refreshments and, where applicable , an evening reception/dinner.  Accommodation and travel associated with the conference are NOT included in the registration fee.

Data Protection

The information you provide when booking for a conference will be held on a database.  It will not be released to third parties unconnected with the conference for which you are registering without your express permission.

Disclaimer

Please note that Commonwealth Business Council , the organisers, do not endorse or recommend in any way any of the companies, individuals or firms presenting at, attending or associated with the conference nor the information given by them.  All information provided at the conference is for information only and to be used on an 'as is, with all faults' basis.  The organiser relies on the companies, individuals or firms presenting at or associated with the conference to present accurate and reliable information, however the organisers give no warranty for it.  The organisers shall not be liable for any decision made or action taken by delegates based upon any information obtained at or as a result of attending the conference.

Cancellation

Cancellations must be received in writing no later than one month or 30 days before the Event start date and will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee unless a substitute delegate is nominated. This must be acknowledge by the Commonwealth Business Council. No refund will be made for cancellations received 30 or fewer days before the Event start date or for non-attendance. We shall not be liable to you for travel, accommodation or other costs if we are required to cancel the Event as a result of an event outside our control. Refunds will not be given if you cannot attend for the reason that your visa application is declined. It is the delegate’s responsibility to check the eligibility criteria prior to registering for the forum.

Online Payments

Payments made online will be taken in British Pounds (GBP). Some conversion and commission costs may be applicable against the card and currency you are paying from.


Membership

Eligibility

Corporate membership of the CBC is open to any company currently doing business, or wishing to explore business opportunities, in Commonwealth countries.

Company Representation

Member companies must be represented on the Council at the level of Chairman, Chielf Executive or other Board Memebr (Primary Representative). A secondary representative should be nominated to liaise between the company and the CBC, normally receiving all correspondence sent out by the CBC (Designated Liaison).

Annual Subscription Fee

The annual subscription fee for membership is based on your company's latest published annual turnover figure, tiered as follows: Up to £100m, £100m to £500m, £500m to £1bn, £1bn to £10bn and £10bn or more. Subscriptions are renewable every twelve months.

VAT

For members who are headquartered in the UK, VAT is applicable to the membership fee at 20%.

Termination

CBC reserves the right to terminate membership at its discretion.

Use of CBC Logo

CBC reserves the right to approve or withold authorisation to use the name and logo of the Commonwealth Business Council.

 

Web Membership

CBC Membership entitlements are available to anyone who has attended a CBC event. If you have any questions about your eligibility, or about web membership in general, please contact web@cbcglobal.org

Web Members are not entitled to reproduce Premium Content and information within the Premium Content areas without written permission of the CBC.

CBC reserves the right to refuse or cancel Web Membership at its discretion.
