Commonwealth Mining Network

The Commonwealth Mining Network was launched at the Commonwealth Business Forum 2011 in Perth to take forward the many valuable business and Government relationships that were established at the event.

The Network will facilitate exchange of market intelligence, investment opportunities and technical expertise, and promote trade and investment delegations and other cooperation between private sector companies, government agencies, investment promotion agencies and mining chambers across all Commonwealth countries with significant interests in the mining industry.

It will do this though a program of policy discussion and advocacy, business partnership facilitation, research and information dissemination, capacity development, CSR advocacy and technical support.

The founding members of the Network are:

  • Affero Mining
  • AngloGold Ashanti
  • Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia
  • Chamber of Mines of South Africa
  • Commonwealth Business Council
  • Confederation of Indian Industry
  • Extract Resources
  • Fortescue Metals Group
  • International Mining for Development Centre
  • Paladin Energy
