On 29th June, the Commonwealth Business Council hosted the first India-UK Corporate Social Responsibility Roundtable in partnership with Herbert Smith LLP and Confederation of Indian Industry.

Coinciding with the annual CII CEOs delegation to the UK, the event was addressed by senior Indian business leaders including Adi B Godrej, President, Confederation of Indian Industry & Chairman, Godrej Group, Anupama Arya, Managing Director, Hatch Fund & Chairperson CII Young Indians and Mukesh Aghi, Chairman and CEO, Steria (India)

The Forum was also addressed by a range of international experts, including James Stacey, Partner, Earth Capital Partners LLP, Nick Robins, Head of the Climate Change Centre of Excellence, HSBC and Nadia Sood, Managing Partner, Impact Investment Partners.

The event was designed to share experience and best practice between India and the UK and also to highlight examples of successful social innovation. It is hoped that it will be part of an ongoing programme to support the development of successful CSR strategies.
