The Africa Infrastructure Investment Networking Forum
The Africa Infrastructure Investment Networking Forum comes at a time when infrastructure is taking centre stage in Africa’s development agenda and will bring together leaders from African Governments, multilateral organisations responsible for developing African infrastructure and global industry experts.
The Forum will officially launch the CBC Africa Infrastructure Investment Report and will be held at Marlborough House – which has been the headquarters of the Commonwealth since 1965.
The CBC Africa Infrastructure Investment Report is supported by the AU, AfDB and NEPAD initiative, Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA), and the International Project Finance Association (IPFA) and will provide both the private and public sector with comprehensive and up-to-date information to assist with the strategic planning, funding, development and maintenance of infrastructure projects in Africa. Confirmed authors include H.E. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Liberia; H. E. Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata, President of Zambia; H. E. Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa; Mr. Donald Kaberuka, President, African Development Bank; Dr Hamadoun Touré, Secretary-General, International Telecommunication Union; Dr Joan Clos, Executive Director, UNHABITAT; and Maria Van der Hoeven, Executive Director, International Energy Agency.
The following organisations will also be contributing to the Report and Forum: African Union, ECOWAS, COMESA, SADC, EAC, World Bank, FAO, IEA and UNDP.
The Forum will primarily be a private networking event providing governments and the private sector the opportunity to profile specific investment opportunities and connect directly with potential investors from around the world in sectors including: Power & Energy, Transport, ICT, Water & Sanitation and Urban Development.
