CBC Consulting has been established to provide specialist services in areas including Corporate Social Responsibility, Governance, and Leadership Development.

It assisted with the feasibility study for the $550 million Investment Climate Facility for Africa, adopted by the Commission for Africa and launched in November 2005.

This reflects a core objective of CBC Consulting to strengthen the voice of the private sector and entrepreneurship in emerging Commonwealth markets.

CBC Consulting has assisted CBC members to review and plan corporate social responsibility programmes through its innovative CSR diagnostic tool and a proprietary evaluation tool assessing the effectiveness and impact of CSR programmes.

A CSR Newsletter has been developed for corporate clients and the first issue was published in June 2005.

Future work is expected to build on the above core areas to strengthen corporate governance and the investment climate, including supporting the government of Cameroon to establish a one-stop investment centre.
