Lord Cairns, Chairman of Zain Africa and founding Chair of the CBC, led a delegation of senior business leaders to the sixth meeting of the Zambia International Business Advisory Council in Livingstone, Zambia on 19-21 May. Strategies and recommendations were discussed in areas including creating a competitive business environment, economic diversification, strengthening infrastructure including telecommunications and power, mining, and agriculture |
Mr. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi former CEO of First Bank, a CBC Member, has been appointed as Governor of the Nigerian Central Bank. CBC congratulates Mr Sansui and wishes him well in his new role. Speaking at his confirmation before the Senate in Abuja, Mr Sanusi “promised to draw from his deep experience in risk management to effect a robust regulation of the [banking] industry.” |
